The Block

Revive


The Block bench was custom designed for the development of Revive in Mechelen (BE).


The local community was invited to collect their plastic waste in order to produce the new benches of the neighbourhood. The shape and colour of the bench is inspired by the facades of the surrounding buildings. The Komet bench seats 3-4 persons. 120kg of plastic waste is recycled for each bench.


                   


                                             




The layered nature of the production technique is emphasized with the orientation of the printing path.
